Take a minute to appeciate it....

...But then the drums beat,
And six strings are plucked,
And the feeling of liberty comes to me like a rush.
I stand up and place my feet on the ground,
So that the rhythm travels thru me and I become one with the sound.
...As it resonates in my veins,
It replaces my pulse,
Because my natural frequency is the same as that of the source.
...So deep is its impact,
Its striking collision against me,
I let myself drown,
In its overwhelming flood of intensity.
...It’s a world where all is lost,
And only music takes control,
And with a rush of energy,
Gives power to the tired body and soul.

Between the Noise you Hear, and the Sound you Like.

I love music. I breathe it. Without it, life is mute. Its a universal truth. A language spoken and understood by all mankind. I once had a deaf man ask me what music is. Just my luck. The memory is a nightmare that never leaves my mind. I wrote for him to simply watch a musician who sings at the same time as he plays. That he won’t be able to look into his eyes because they’ll be closed as he performs stuck in his own world and that instead he should pay attention to the muscles of his arms and face. The area around his eyes and mouth. His cheek bones. And the sweat that drips off the man’s brow and forehead. As he pours out his heart, passion, and strength all at the same time to create what dictionaries cannot provide as a definition of music. Then I told him to just fuck off and thanked him for permanently ruining my own perception of music by adding a pity for those who can’t hear it. At this point of my life I would have been spared all that trouble by simply taking the man to the place where music is tangible. This is where I say thank you to my drummer&co. Guys, thank you.
